We Connect Communities to Empower Grassroots Charities to Thrive

Dealing with Focus Foundation has been really a breath of fresh air, it’s very unusual to have real contact with our funders. It’s been a very human experience which feels appropriate, but is very rare.

I originally volunteered to push myself out of my comfort zone whilst helping the Focus Foundation team. It was an incredibly rewarding experience for me. The opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful event and see the positive impact on everyone involved was truly heart-warming. I felt a genuine sense of fulfilment knowing that my efforts helped make the evening memorable for all attendees whilst raising all important funds.

I am so pleased to have found Focus Foundation. The team seek out well managed and deserving charities that are away from the mainstream view that diligently apply donations to make a tangible difference in a community.

We have felt truly valued and supported throughout our experience with the Focus Foundation, which has been far more personal than we ever expected. From the outset, it was clear that this is not a tick-box exercise, but a genuinely thoughtful approach to grant making. The time taken to meet with us in advance, to understand our work in depth, and to see first-hand the impact we are striving to achieve has been incredibly meaningful.

It is rare to encounter a Foundation that shows such authentic interest and passion for the charities it supports. We have felt listened to, understood, and encouraged at every stage. This approach not only strengthened our application, but has also built a lovely relationship. The Focus Foundation’s commitment to making a real difference shines through in everything they do, and it is a privilege to interact with their team members.

It was absolutely fantastic volunteering at Focus Group’s Golf Day in aid of Focus Foundation! I got to share the day with a golf professional, got to meet some amazing people. Everyone was here with the right aim in mind, and it was just great to see everybody having such a great time.

It was great to see some of the charities that the Focus Foundation supports (at the Focus Foundation Winter Ball) and how we were able to raise so much money from one singular night. I wanted to volunteer to understand the Foundation a bit more, as I am still quite new to Focus Group. It was another great opportunity to network with people who work here.

I attended the 2025 Focus Foundation Winter Ball – it was fantastic and this encouraged me to become a regular donor. You can see from the work Focus Foundation does that it needs and deserves support. If you can get involved in a small way, I highly recommend you do. The rewards you will receive in your heart will leave you speechless – get involved! Be a regular donor.

Focus Foundation are more than simply a grant-making trust. They show genuine interest in our charity and are keen to ascertain how best they can support our growth and development. Their input to date has been outstanding and they have been with us every step of the way.

We are long-standing advocates of Focus Foundation and the inspiring work they do to create brighter futures for young people and local communities. Their commitment to mental health, education, and social inclusion aligns closely with our values at Tower Leasing, and we are proud to support their mission and raise awareness for the incredible causes they champion.

Donating to the Foundation means that grassroots charities are recognised and supported. I know that when I donate, all the money is going directly to these charities, no platform, administration or hidden fees. Its important for these charities to have a route to support, without onerous red tape, to quickly achieve their goals.

I’ve loved every time I’ve volunteered for the Focus Foundation. Focus Group’s Golf Day in aid of the Foundation was an incredible event, both on the course and in the evening, raising over £42K for the grassroots charities the Foundation supports. It’s always a pleasure meeting such lovely people on the day and knowing that you’re playing a small part in helping to raise funds for the important work the Foundation does.

The support I received while fundraising was incredible, and it made the whole experience even more special. Despite some very challenging conditions on the day with heavy wind and rain it only made me more determined (and at least the donors definitely got their money’s worth!). It pushed me to keep going, even during the tougher moments, and I’m really proud I was able to contribute in some small way. It was a challenging but hugely rewarding experience that I’ll always remember!

We believe that every child deserves an opportunity to learn and thrive, regardless of their visual abilities and we are proud of the life-changing impact our free postal library service has on their lives. This is only made possible due to the amazing generosity and support of organisations like the Focus Foundation. We remain determined to transform the lives of more children and families navigating today’s complex world with severe sight loss and your support is invaluable in helping us to achieve this.

A huge thank you to Focus Foundation for donating an incredibly generous £5,000 to provide ten Hummingbird Project schools with boxes of Positive Psychology resources. Thank you for helping us create happier, healthier classrooms and ensuring that the benefits of Hummingbird continue long after each course ends.

Beyond the grant, Focus Foundation have been amazing with wrap around support, including useful webinars and additional funding opportunities. It’s really refreshing to work with such a flexible and understanding funder, who we feel we can always pick up the phone to and ask advice from. It means so much.

It was a pleasure for our Fundraising & Marketing Manager, Rob, to spend time with the team, sharing more about Horsham Matters, our mission to reduce hardship across the Horsham District, and the impact that partnerships like this have on the people we support. Focus Foundation has been a tremendous supporter of Horsham Matters, and it was wonderful to meet Katie, Mandi, Claire and Alix while strengthening our partnership over a morning of harvesting fresh produce together.

On behalf of WOLO I would like to express heartfelt thanks to the Focus Foundation for making its partnership with Brighton & Hastings Therapy Centre (Hope & Healing project) possible. I can honestly say that this has become one of the most valuable services we are able to offer our community. Without it, we would be struggling to support many of the people who come to us in need of professional therapeutic help.

The support from Focus Foundation has been phenomenal. The opportunity that Focus Foundation has given isn’t just funding. It’s the training day for Angels Den 2025, which was so valuable, and the whole thing is about connecting communities, connecting charities to bring people together – Focus Foundation has enabled that to happen and bring everyone together, so thank you.

We would like to thank the Focus Foundation for their support, enabling us to provide support to young Autistic children in Buckinghamshire who are starting school for the first time. At a crucial time in a child’s life this support will ensure children achieve their potential and live happy fulfilling lives.
